SUMMARY At Sea day #4 of 4. A leisure day with time for a pedicure, packing, more adult beverages and, of course, more food! - Karen

DETAIL Today’s our last day at sea and our last full day on the boat. It’s also our last day “in Norway”, although since we’re at sea, 1/2 way between Norway and Denmark, I’m not sure if that counts. It’s a good time to reflect on all we’ve seen, which is a lot. Before this 17 day “Norway Intensive” cruise we were occassionally apprehensive about focusing so many days on this one 'not large' country.

But as we've been going through the trip and in hindsight, it’s not too much. There’s a whole lot of beauty and variation between the bigger cities and the many fjords and arctic tundra. We certainly did not get tired of it. Would we come back? For sure. If you like beauty and good food and healthy, happy people, what’s not to like? We guess a lot of people come here for vacation, for those reasons, and they’re good reasons.

But enough about Norway, back to us :-)  Karen goes for her scheduled pedicure at 2 pm and comes back with pretty toenails. She tells me the color is violet. Being an ‘at sea’ day everyone’s chill but also getting stuff done for getting off the ship. There’s a lot of activity in the laundry room. We go back to the gym one more time and do a final workout.

Sprinkled throughout all of this, we pack and double check our cabin's nooks and crannies for anything we might be leaving behind. For one last time, we don our swimsuits and hang out by the pool. It’s cool (62°) but very sunny, so the temperature feels good.

We fret, slightly, over where to have our 'last supper'. The Windows dining room (at the back of the ship) is featuring a Great Britain buffet. We know the UK's food reputation and have some trepidation. Despite our reservations we go and enjoy it, sitting out back on the deck, in the late day sun.

Back in our cabin we fuss with our packing a bit more and finally commit to an early bedtime. We’re able to get off the ship in the morning starting at 7:30 so off to bed it is.

One last full day shipboard. A good time to reflect on the voyage as a whole. We both agree, it was great fun and Norway is a beautiful, diverse country well worth visiting.

A day at sea is always a good time to hang by the pool, in swim suit or full dress.

Alas it's time to repack into my 'anal-retentive brand' packing cubes.

One last day of always having the cleaning cart parked right outside our door. Silightly annoying but really handy to know which cabin is ours!
